Well this month (September, 2023), over a year later, we were able to make their dreams come true! Look at those smiles! Brand new books to help these children succeed in school! The challenges are great... for this school, 70 students in a class! Some schools can not feed the children breakfast or lunch and a child will go with one meal a day (usually beans and posho/grits at home). Some students miss school one day a week to help their parents sell food at the market. Others have illness to contend with- Malaria is common. We can't solve every challenge, but at least they now have some great new books to increase learning.
Thank you for your support to help needy students have a better chance to improve their lives!
